Job description
We are building up a remote East Coast Field Service Engineer team for a solar and energy storage technical advisory client that is passionate about optimizing the performance of solar and storage assets.
Our ideal team members will possess field experience in construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance, as well as Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC).
Candidates should be knowledgeable in system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performing electrical tests with experience working in Utility, Commercial and Industrial projects
This is a long-term contract opportunity that is remote with travel.
All candidates MUST be within a 1-hour commute to a major airport.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Performing third-party solar and storage system inspections including testing focused on safety, quality, and reliability.
Scope of Work:
Health assessment: operational systems
Third-party construction QA/QC
Third-party commissioning oversight/verification
End-of-warranty inspection
Root cause analysis
Emergency response and investigation
Report writing, where required, to comply with deliverables
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of relevant solar and/or energy storage experience
1 year of experience performing system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performing electrical tests
Ability to use fieldwork software technology tools and navigate numerous computer applications and technology independently
Ability to work at great heights, work in extreme environments, lift at least 50 pounds
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable and safe driving record
Ability to travel 50% of the time or more nationally
OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e certifications
