The Green Recruitment Company is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Field Service Engineer to join a leading team working on Utility Scale Solar PV Sites in Pittsburgh. This 12-month contract role offers an hourly rate ranging from $35 to $45, based on your expertise and experience in the field.

About the Role:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Your technical skills will ensure the high performance and reliability of solar installations that significantly contribute to sustainable energy production. This position involves hands-on field work, troubleshooting, and regular interaction with clients to provide exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of solar PV equipment to ensure optimal operation.

• Respond to service calls and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

• Perform technical evaluations of solar installations and suggest improvements or upgrades.

• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to enhance system performance.

• Maintain accurate service logs and reports for system operations and maintenance activities.

• Provide training and support to clients on new systems and technology.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector.

• Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex technical details in a clear manner.

• Flexibility to travel to different sites within the Pittsburgh area and work in various outdoor conditions.

• Technical certification or degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
