Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Contract Type: 12-month contract

Hourly Rate: $35-$45, dependent on experience

The Green Recruitment Company is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Field Service Engineer to join a pioneering team dedicated to Utility Scale Solar PV Sites in Philadelphia. If you are passionate about renewable energy and looking for a meaningful 12-month contract with an hourly rate between $35 and $45 based on experience, this is the perfect role for you!

About the Role:

As our Field Service Engineer, you will ensure the optimal functioning and maintenance of large-scale solar PV installations. Your role will involve direct field work, employing your technical skills to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain solar systems, ensuring their efficiency and reliability. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and working outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on solar PV systems to maximize system performance.

  • Respond quickly to system outages or disruptions, providing timely and effective solutions.

  • Evaluate system performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend system enhancements or upgrades.

  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, compiling regular reports on system status and work completed.

  • Educate and assist customers on the operation and maintenance of their solar systems.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Field Service Engineer, preferably with experience in solar or other renewable energy technologies.

  • Excellent technical and analytical skills, with a strong focus on providing solutions.

  • Effective communication skills, capable of explaining technical details to non-technical audiences.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Philadelphia area and adapt to various field conditions.

  • Relevant technical certification or degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Technology, or a related discipline.
