Job Title: Field Service Engineer for Solar and Storage (Freelance)
Location: United States
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer for Solar and Storage to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar and storage systems across the United States. As a freelance Field Service Engineer, you will work closely with the project team to ensure that all solar and storage systems are installed and commissioned correctly and that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with the project requirements. You will be responsible for managing the field service team, ensuring that all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar and storage systems across the United States
Manage the field service team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure that all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards
Collaborate with the project team, including project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that solar and storage systems are installed and commissioned correctly and that maintenance activities are completed on time and within budget
Conduct regular audits of the installation, commissioning, and maintenance processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are meeting the project's requirements and expectations
Prepare and present regular reports on the field service activities to the project team and management
Manage the field service documentation, ensuring that all records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date
Participate in project meetings related to the field service process and provide regular updates on activities and issues
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in solar and storage system installation, commissioning, and maintenance, preferably in the United States
Knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures related to solar and storage system installation, commissioning, and maintenance
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of field service professionals
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines and changing priorities
Education and Certifications:
Qualification in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field is preferred
Certification in solar and storage system installation, commissioning, and maintenance, or a related field is a plus
Working Conditions:
This is a freelance position for the duration of the solar and storage projects, with the possibility of extension
Work is primarily conducted in the field, with some work in an office setting
Work schedules may vary and require weekend or overtime work, as needed
