Remote with Travel, Can be located anywhere in the US.
My client is in search of a skilled Field Inspection Engineer/Quality Engineer to join its growing Team. As a leading owner of commercial and utility Solar Assets, they depend on this team to assess operational sites, provide punch lists, and remediation recommendations, and execute remediation tasks.
The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting design and production reviews, conducting site inspections, and overseeing engineering and inspection partners. An ideal fit for this role will possess extensive experience in design, installation, and maintenance, coupled with a keen eye for quality.

Responsibilities:
Review the design of operating systems
Perform data analysis and troubleshoot potential or existing issues
Proficient in interpreting low-voltage and medium-voltage plans, wiring and control diagrams, specifications, and data sheets
Conduct thermal imaging testing and analysis, insulation resistance testing, and complete commissioning reports
Ability to interpret and understand PV production models such as PVSYST or Helioscope
Conduct site audits to evaluate structural, electrical, equipment, and installation aspects of PV and storage systems
Conduct data analysis and troubleshoot potential or existing issues
Requirements:
Proficiency in interpreting civil, structural, low voltage, and medium voltage plans
Familiarity with central and string inverters, DAS, and communication systems
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
Clean driving record
Knowledge of DAS and communications networks
High level of initiative and ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment
Field experience in quality, construction, or operation
Familiarity with electrical systems and basic safety protocols preferred
Up-to-date on all safety and technical training
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint
Ability to effectively utilize project management tools such as MS Teams, Smartsheet, Procore, Monday.com
Willingness to travel up to 50% for commissioning and troubleshooting assistance
Strong attention to detail
Preferably holds a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
