Job description
TGRC is collaborating with a global OEM to find skilled FACTS Electrical Studies Engineers. The role involves conducting studies on electric power systems and equipment applications related to Fixed Series Capacitors and Synchronous Condenser FACTS projects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform power system analysis, modeling, and simulation.
Develop control engineering solutions for grid-interconnected generation, transmission, or distribution.
Identify and mitigate risks in equipment ratings and proposals.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in transient analysis simulation packages (e.g., ATP, PSCAD).
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years (BSEE) or 1 year (MSEE) experience in generation planning, market design and operations, utility operations, or energy market consulting.
Desired Characteristics
Expertise in technical performance analysis, harmonic analysis, and generator excitation modeling.
Experience in power electronics control development for utility or industrial systems.
Proficiency in designing and modeling control systems and transient analysis.
Familiarity with global modeling and simulation requirements.
Active participation in professional societies like IEEE or CIGRE.
Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
Willingness to travel (15-30%).
Ability to multitask and work in a matrixed team environment.
