Job description

​This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, ambitious individual to join a well-regarded and high-performing ESG team in a senior position. This role will be responsible for driving the ESG performance of the investment arm of a leading renewables infrastructure fund.

The role will be tasked with but no limited too, creating and delivering a sustainable investment framework covering all AUM. Leading ESG regulatory compliance across AUM, staying at the forefront of UK and EU regulation and reviewing ESG processes across the Group companies to ensure ongoing adherence.

This role will also take responsibility for delivering the LLP’s wider ESG strategy, including delivery of the Sustainable Investment Policy and ESG reporting. This role will need to work collaboratively with other members of the team to support the ongoing integration of ESG across operational activities.

Core duties include:

  • Become the ‘knowledge centre’ of UK and EU ESG legislation and how this applies to the group & its AUM.

  • Develop and deliver a sustainable finance framework to ensure regulatory compliance for all AUM.

  • Lead on ESG reporting for the LLP, including the preparation, review, and dissemination of annual sustainability reports, regulatory and framework disclosures

  • Undertake horizon scanning to identify emerging ESG frameworks; keep well informed of regulatory changes; assess best practice standards; & review peer disclosures.

  • Take ownership over ESG marketing content on LLP/client websites, ensuring messaging remains up-to-date

  • Prepare and present ESG Board reports.

You will have:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in an ESG/sustainability role within the investment sector (ideally renewables).

  • Proven experience with the implementation of sustainable finance frameworks including the SFDR and EU Taxonomy, and reporting frameworks such as the CSRD, PRI, Sustainable Development Goals & UK Stewardship Code.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

  • An analytical mindset with high attention to detail.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to respond to tight deadlines.

  • Highly organised and self-motivated.
