Job description

A leading, international energy consultancy are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join their team whilst they are undergoing a phase of expansion throughout the UK and Europe. The company has boasted consistent year-on-year growth for more than two decades and offers a dynamic team of inspiring professionals for the right candidate to develop alongside.

This role will be based in their London office and the individual will report directly to the Head of Risk Management.

 

The Role:

  • Proactive management of Gas and Power Portfolio of European I&C clients, including hedging trades on behalf of client portfolios
  • Conducting regular client calls to provide current market updates and discuss the effectiveness of agreed risk management strategy
  • Support the development of client risk strategies
  • Complete reports outlining market and contract performance
  • Support the Operations and Sales team with client meetings and conference calls
  • Partner with other team members to prepare for client’s annual budget reports & contract tenders
  • Maintain and sustain relationships with energy suppliers
  • Liaise with members of the risk and European ops team daily to provide updates and ensure excellent customer service is maintained
  • Ad-hoc requests

  • Strong organisation skills with a solid level of computer literacy
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English and relevant European languages
  • Desirable:
  • Good knowledge of both fundamental and technical analysis
  • Knowledge of European market flexible energy contracts
  • EU wholesale energy market knowledge in UK, FR, DE, ES and IT
  • Experience with procuring energy contracts
