Summary:

As an Analyst at our Energy Market Research Company, you will play a key role in conducting in-depth research and analysis of global energy markets. You will collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations to clients, including energy companies, financial institutions, and government agencies. You will stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical developments to inform strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis of global energy markets, including electricity, natural gas, oil, renewable energy, and related commodities, using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods.

  • Collect, validate, and analyze data from diverse sources, including industry reports, market data, financial statements, and regulatory filings.

  • Develop and maintain models and forecasts to assess market trends, pricing dynamics, supply and demand fundamentals, and geopolitical risks impacting energy markets.

  • Monitor and interpret market developments, regulatory changes, and policy initiatives to identify emerging trends and potential impacts on energy markets.

  • Prepare written reports, presentations, and other deliverables summarizing research findings, insights, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research analysts, economists, and data scientists, to leverage expertise and insights to provide comprehensive and holistic market analysis.

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing timely and relevant insights to support their strategic decision-making processes.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry research, publications, and technological advancements to continuously enhance research methodologies and deliverables.

  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and provide support to other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, economics, energy policy, or related disciplines. Master's degree or higher preferred.

  • Strong research and analytical skills, including proficiency in data collection, validation, and analysis techniques.

  • Knowledge of global energy markets, including electricity, natural gas, oil, and renewable energy, and understanding of related concepts such as supply and demand dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling techniques, as well as experience with data visualization tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company professionally to clients and other stakeholders.
