The Opportunity:

Electrical Technician – Data Centre

The Green Recruitment Company are partnered with a world-leading consultancy who deliver integrated real estate, facilities and technology solutions for data centre owners, occupiers, and investors globally.

Their Critical Services Division are seeking Electrical Technicians/Electrical Engineers to join the operations team and support in overall responsibility for the buildings’ Electrical systems, both from a preventative and reactive maintenance perspective.

The Role:

• Carrying out preventive maintenance and repair of critical technical equipment
• Adherence to internal and external training programs
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
• Modifying the electrical cable system
• Tracking of critical process services with the help of a CMMS system
• Processing and closing of service orders of the customer in accordance with the service level agreements
• Ensuring the correct and effective functioning of the plants
• Support and accompaniment of subcontractors in the execution of the activity, taking into account the customer agreements and Security and Risk Mitigation Measures
• Daily tours and inspections
• Identification of potential risks for the intended process or occupational safety
• Writing daily shift reports and handing over the information to the following shift
• Participation in alternating shift operation
• Support of management in all areas
• On-site contact person for the customer and his employees in the aforementioned area of responsibility

The Individual:

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering / electrotechnical training with sufficient professional experience in the main tasks
• Preferably experience in the field of Data Centres or other critical environments such as hospital, ocean shipping, rail, etc.
• Good spoken and written language skills in German or English (both languages are an advantage)
• Experience in dealing with refrigeration and air conditioning units is an advantage
• Knowledge in dealing with a CMMS system
• PLC and PLC knowledge is an advantage, but not mandatory
• Recognition of technical complex relationships
• Strong service orientation and ability to work in a team
• Safe handling of MS-Office
