Job description
Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Offshore) - 12 Months Contract Location: United Kingdom Industry: Renewable Energy
TGRC is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Offshore) on behalf of our client, a leading renewable energy Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This is a 12-month contract role with competitive day rates, requiring offshore certifications and past experience working with Siemens.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and implement electrical systems for offshore renewable energy projects, particularly in relation to Siemens equipment
Review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements
Conduct onsite testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems and components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
Provide technical guidance and support to the offshore installation, operations, and maintenance teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any electrical engineering issues and develop innovative solutions
Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting progress, risks, and recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of [number] years of experience in offshore electrical engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector
Past experience working with Siemens equipment is essential
Valid offshore certifications, such as BOSIET, FOET, or GWO
Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety regulations in an offshore environment
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required
Flexibility to travel to offshore locations as needed
