Job description

​TGRC is partnering with a global player in the Solar PV development space to place a Development Manager in Denmark.

 

About the Role:

Your primary task will be to lead the development of large-scale solar plant projects in Poland and Baltic Countries, with the support of local developers and/or subcontractors. Your work will be related to the preparation, definition, planning, coordination, and delivery of the complete development phase/materials in compliance with our client’s standard process, through different streams and successfully achieving, for each project, intermediate milestones, up to Financial Close:

Your scope includes the following tasks and deliverables:

  • Project origination

  • Zoning Permit

  • Building permit

  • Site Surveys and studies

  • Engineering

  • EPC Preparation

  • Interconnection process (IA)

  • Financial Model

  • Due diligence

  • Transaction support

You will be involved from the Land Origination Stage, participating to the negotiation of the Land Lease and Purchase agreements required to obtain “Site Control”. You will have an active role in defining each of the new projects you are responsible for, preparing the project description and risk analysis documentation, building their financial model.

You will plan, coordinate, and manage the developments tasks performed internally and the ones handled by the co-developer or subcontractor located in the country. You will ensure their completion on time, respecting the internal and/or investing Partner deadlines, and you will define the appropriate acceleration measures if needed. At the same time, you will permanently assess the risks of the project portfolio under your responsibility and pilot the mitigation action plan and ensure the compliance of the deliverables provided to the contract executed with the investing Partner (Development Services Agreement).

You will prepare and lead steering committee sessions and report the progress of the development of your project portfolio to the investing Partner(s). From start to end, you will monitor the evolution of the financial output of each of the projects and will analyse options make recommendations to achieve the defined targets (i.e.. IRR, or another agreed parameter).

You will engage the necessary actions and make the right decisions and arbitrations to reach financial close and permanently reach the investor satisfaction, and you will submit the Development Milestones Completion notices to the investor for approval and payment of the fees to GreenGo.

You will prepare and track the portfolio development budget, as well as progress reports for the Internal Steering Committees and contribute to GreenGo Energy´s continuous improvement mindset, by improving agile and efficient processes.

You hand over the projects to the EPCM Team once the Financial Close has been achieved, facilitating a smooth transition towards the construction phase.

You will monitor the evolution of the solar market in Poland and Baltics; as well as you will analyse regulatory parameters and changes in law which could impact the commercial activity and the development process of the portfolio of projects.

You will be reporting to the COO and will interface frequently with the Business Development Team, the Engineering office, and external stakeholders such as technical and legal advisors and subcontractors.

 

Person Specification

  • Strong project management skills structured and technical mindset and minimum +8 years of experience working with development of complex projects in international environment.

  • You most likely have a Master within Engineering, Business Administration or Project Management combined with a least 5 years’ experience in renewable / energy industry or development related to the construction sector with focus on complex and technical buildings. On top of this, you dohave a technical understanding of solar technology and the drivers in the industry.

  • As a person, you are structured, and you are able to plan and organize your work in an effective way. You have strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills, and you are able to adapt to different situations and audiences. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, are rigorous, autonomous, agile and a decision maker who can work hands-on when required.

  • Furthermore, you are known for a great drive, a positive mindset, you are robust and thrive in a fast-changing environment, where you keep focus on the targets and the customers.

  • You have a strong command of both written and spoken Danish and English and you are proficient with MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, and MS Office Suite.
