Overview

The Green Recruitment Company are partnering with a fast-growing, ambitious renewable energy company in the search for a Development Manager. Our Client are a global renewable energy developer with a presence in 6 continents and a broad portfolio across a wide range of technologies.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all development activities from the inception of the project to the commencement of construction. They will be closely involved in land identification, acquiring land tenure, and engaging with external stakeholders.

Some duties include:

• Pursuing the company’s goals and objectives with the identification and development of new projects.
• Following the company’s policies and procedures as well as any applicable legislation.
• Utilizing internal and external resources to assure effective and professional project management of all relevant projects in accordance with global standards, corporate values, and processes.
• Managing grid connection process aspects.
• Coordinating Technical Due Diligence, reviewing early-stage opportunities, and assessing project viability.
• Negotiating and securing property agreements, providing appropriate rights to develop.
• Presenting Progress reports to senior management.

To succeed in this role:

• Formal qualifications in relevant discipline
• 3+ years of relevant development experience in renewables
• Deep knowledge of the renewable energy industry
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Proactive and organized
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
• Strong analytical skills
• Driver’s license
• Flexibility to travel on a regular basis
