Job title: Design Engineer (Solar PV)

Location: Milan, Lombardy, Italy (Hybrid)

We're looking for a Design Engineer to develop detailed solar PV system layouts, including electrical schematics and equipment specifications.

TGRC has partnered with a leader in the development, finance, construction and management of projects from renewable sources, looking for a candidate with a background in engineering (at least 3 years) with companies operating in energy generation (with particular reference to solar and wind plants).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preliminary plant design for development activities

  • In addition, system technical design and component sizing

  • Additionally, lead the design and engineering of solar PV projects from concept to completion.

  • Conduct site assessments, analyze energy requirements, and determine system specifications.

  • Furthermore, perform technical feasibility studies and assessments for solar PV projects.

  • Ensure project designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety guidelines.

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory authorities, utilities, and vendors.

  • Assist in project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in engineering (preferably electrical, energy or mechanical) alternatively, a degree in Environmental Science if supported by solid field experience

  • 3+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector (Solar in particular)

  • Autonomous user of AutoCAD, PVSYST & PVCase.

  • Experience in plant management and construction site activities

  • Excellent ability to work in a team and to carry out tasks independently
