Job description
Job title: Design Engineer (Solar PV)
Location: Milan, Lombardy, Italy (Hybrid)
We're looking for a Design Engineer to develop detailed solar PV system layouts, including electrical schematics and equipment specifications.
TGRC has partnered with a leader in the development, finance, construction and management of projects from renewable sources, looking for a candidate with a background in engineering (at least 3 years) with companies operating in energy generation (with particular reference to solar and wind plants).
Key Responsibilities:
Preliminary plant design for development activities
In addition, system technical design and component sizing
Additionally, lead the design and engineering of solar PV projects from concept to completion.
Conduct site assessments, analyze energy requirements, and determine system specifications.
Furthermore, perform technical feasibility studies and assessments for solar PV projects.
Ensure project designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory authorities, utilities, and vendors.
Assist in project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in engineering (preferably electrical, energy or mechanical) alternatively, a degree in Environmental Science if supported by solid field experience
3+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector (Solar in particular)
Autonomous user of AutoCAD, PVSYST & PVCase.
Experience in plant management and construction site activities
Excellent ability to work in a team and to carry out tasks independently
