Delivery Manager - Major Projects

 

Location:  Wiltshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, Surrey, or West London

 

Salary: £54,600 - £81,800

TGRC are working with one of the UK’s largest energy suppliers, primarily a developer, an operator and an owner of low-carbon energy assets and businesses, with a strategic focus on regulated electricity networks and renewable energy. More broadly they are involved in the generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity, the production, storage, distribution, and supply of gas and in the provision of energy-related services.

Your Profile:

The Delivery Manager will lead diverse teams of professional and highly skilled employees within Connections Major Projects. The Delivery Manager will resolve escalations through expert knowledge of all aspects of complex project management and electrical voltages up to 132kV, that span across all areas of Major Project Delivery. Working closely with the Head of Project Delivery, the Delivery Manager will ensure that customer connection projects and the associated Capex reinforcement works, are delivered safely, on time, on budget and to exceed satisfaction of the customer including

  • The effective management of all live major projects in the project portfolio including being accountable for the end-to-end project and external contractor and supplier management.
  • Exceptional customer service leading with proactive communication and embedding a culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything we do.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement, drive quality standards and operational excellence whilst delivering value added improvements in customer service and productivity.
  • Plan, organise, monitor, and control operations to ensure full and effective use is made of resource and deliver efficiencies aligned to the price control measures/targets.
  • Develop and deliver a key stakeholder plan which identifies key internal and external stakeholders and provides an effective and robust communication strategy.

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Experience of guiding high performing large diverse teams, projects and programmes either through direct employee workforce and/or third-party contractors.
  • Proven operating knowledge of the distribution business up to and including 132kV or large capital delivery projects in a similar sector.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficient organisation skills and a strength in developing and nourishing positive working relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience at managing portfolios of work and ensuring governance models are adhered too.
  • Be able to operate within a customer orientated environment, possessing excellent customer service skills.
