The Opportunity
A rare opportunity to join a leading international O&M, construction and design company specialising in medium and large PV Systems.
Our client is looknig for a Solar Construction Site Manager to Site Manage the construction of two Solar Sites in the Nottingham and Cambridge area.
The Role
- Supporting the Project Manager to ensure the IMS and company policy are maintained and updated
- Monitoring and auditing activities to ensure works are carried out under this IMS and in compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental Regulations
- Support project managers and subcontractors in implementing and adhering to the IMS
- Arrange training, where necessary, on aspects of the IMS
- Liaise with consultants who may be engaged from time to time to further develop the IMS
- Carry out Safety Walks on the company portfolio
- Conduct audits of company & subcontractor activities (covering site surveys, construction work and electrical and mechanical maintenance, LV, HV, DC & AC)
- Conduct audits of company & subcontractor compliance with IMS
- Review audit findings with the Project Managers and support closure of action items
- Support the Project Manager in carrying out investigations into any Hazardous Observations/Near Misses or incidents that may occur on any of the projects, reporting findings and monitoring corrective actions
- Maintain and collect health and safety statistics at company and project level, analysing and reporting trends to Project Managers, UK Operations Manager and Managing Directors
- Maintain records to demonstrate ongoing compliance with IMS & relevant ISO accreditation(s)
- Support responsible departments to establish an adequate HSE subcontractor management
- Support sales and marketing to meet HSE expectations of customers
- Keep abreast of developments in good practice and regulations and advise UK Head of Operations/Managing Directors as appropriate

The Person
- NEBOSH National General Certificate
- NEBOSH National Construction Certificate
- Proven track record in Health and Safety in Wind farms and or Solar parks
- Knowledge of Operations/Construction of wind/ PV business
- Electrical background an advantage
