​Job Title: Community Engagement Manager

Location: Sydney, Australia

Our client, an international renewable energy developer, is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to join their team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have a strong background in community engagement, excellent communication skills, and experience in the renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to support renewable energy projects

  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders, including indigenous groups, landowners, and local government officials

  • Develop and deliver community engagement plans, including stakeholder consultation and communication strategies

  • Organize and participate in community events and meetings to provide project updates and gather feedback

  • Work closely with project development and construction teams to ensure community engagement objectives are integrated into project planning and execution

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to community engagement and social responsibility

  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders on community engagement efforts and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, social sciences, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in community engagement, with experience in the renewable energy industry preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Familiarity with local government processes and regulatory requirements related to community engagement and social responsibility

  • Experience in stakeholder consultation, facilitation, and conflict resolution

  • Fluency in English
