Job Title: Onshore Wind Commissioning Manager (Freelance)
Location: European Union (EU)
Pay Rate:€55-€60 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Onshore Wind Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning and testing of an onshore wind farm in the EU. As a freelance Commissioning Manager, you will work closely with the project team to ensure that the wind turbines are commissioned and tested safely, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the commissioning team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and ensuring that quality standards are met. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the growth of renewable energy projects in the EU.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the onshore wind turbine commissioning team to ensure that commissioning and testing is performed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards
Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed during the commissioning and testing process
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that commissioning schedules are met and projects are delivered within budget
Conduct daily inspections of the wind turbine components and commissioning worksite to identify potential hazards and ensure quality standards are met
Work closely with logistics and procurement teams to ensure that all necessary equipment, tools, and materials are available on site
Maintain accurate records of commissioning and testing progress, issues, and resolutions
Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the commissioning and testing process and provide technical guidance to the commissioning team
Coordinate with third-party contractors to ensure that all works are performed in compliance with the project's specifications and quality standards
Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on commissioning and testing progress and issues
Qualifications:
At least 8 years of experience in onshore wind turbine commissioning and testing, preferably in the EU
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to onshore wind turbine commissioning and testing
Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team of commissioning technicians and contractors
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines and changing priorities
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred
All Relevant Technical and Safety Certification
Working Conditions:
This is a freelance position for the duration of the commissioning and testing of the onshore wind farm project, expected to be 6-12 months in length
This position may require travel to different project sites within the EU, as needed
Work schedules may vary and require weekend or overtime work, as needed
