Job description

The Client:

An innovate energy storage company that has established itself over the last 6 years. A well-funded company with an original take on technology, design and customer interaction. They are set to make significant waves in the energy industry and play a significant role in helping shape a new landscape in the energy industry.  

 

In an industry set to be worth $20 billion by 2020, the company has successfully deployed a large fleet of their batteries and are on the precipice of taking a leading position in the rapidly growing energy storage industry.

 

The Role:

You will be responsible coordinating, delivering and documenting test related tasks, to ensure our client’s products are performing up to standard

 

Your work will focus on:

  • System performance and system validation
  • Functionality verification
  • Documenting and collating results in line with specification
  • Customer compliance testing
  • Problem resolution and liaison with engineering team regarding issues
  • Dissemination of appropriate system operating instructions and methods, relevant to clients

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Listed:

  1. Planning, undertaking and delivering test procedures of Energy Storage Systems and/or Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Design Validation Process (DVP) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
  2. Producing test reports and documentation that support product testing, installation, commissioning and certification
  3. Carry out commissioning of products and support client witness test, performance test and installation test
  4. Liaising with customer, inspection agencies and nominated third party contract services
  5. Provide customer training and familiarisation days regarding dissemination of operating instructions, explanation of functionality and system capability
  6. Support customers and maintenance team providing expert advice to carry out both preventive and reactive maintenance

 

The Individual:

Specific Skills Requirements:

You'll need to demonstrate:

  • You have a working knowledge of LV/MV system/installation/machine design, with hands on experience during your career
  • The ability to interpret the products design and functionality, as well as competently interact with Contract Assemblers, Client representatives and the Technical team
  • A background of commissioning Electrical Machines, Power Generation Systems or similar
  • Ability to read design specifications, technical and electrical drawings
  • Technical knowledge of: Transformers, Protection Selection, Earthing arrangements, Fault Finding
  • Current Calculations, EMC considerations, cable selection and routing
  • You can produce high quality professional engineering documentation to support test, validation and certification
  • Exceptional verbal and written interaction with customers, supply chain and technical staff.
  • You are self-motivated, able to work in a competent and structured manner with minimum supervision
  • An analytical and problem-solving approach to work
  • An ability to multitask

 

Complementary skills:

• A knowledge and experience in drawing up electrical schematics, layouts and single line diagrams using appropriate CAD packages (AutoCAD Electrical or similar)
