​Job title: Commercial PPA Director

Location: Berlin, Germany (Hybrid)

TGRC is looking for a Commercial PPA Director to work with an International Renewable Energy developer, backed by a multi-billion fund for their Germany activities.

The client specialises in private-wire solar and battery projects and is seeking a professional to lead to origination, negotiation and execution of private-wire PPAs.

The Role:

• Identify, develop, negotiate and secure a robust pipeline of PWPPA projects.

• Industrial off-taker identification, segmentation & qualification.

• Develop a robust pipeline of industrial off-taker development opportunities.

• PWPPA Heads of Term contract negotiation, including leading the commercial design of a project according to the requirements of the off-taker.

• Relationship management through to full PWPPA contract close.

• Develop wider relationships internationally with multi-national off-takers, enabling cross-selling and portfolio opportunities.

Working with the Head of Germany and the CFO, the Commercial Director will influence and agree on the financial budget for all sales activities, subsequently ensuring that all activity falls within the agreed financial parameters.

The Individual:

• Proven track record of selling complex contractual products with knowledge of PPA contracts and the associated commercial levers within that contract.

• Understanding of negotiation principles and closing the 'right' deal. A strong network of industrial power users (in Europe) will be considered helpful.

• Understanding of the Central European energy markets covering generation, transmission & distribution, particularly in Germany.

• Understanding of renewable technologies (particularly solar; wind and ideally energy storage) and how their performance could impact a PWPPA.

• Languages: English and German (written and spoken fluently)
