Job description

Join a team of experts helping businesses navigate the challenges of a complex energy market as a Commercial Credit Risk Analyst. This independent B2B energy company will provide a fantastic career opportunity for an ambitious, flexible and passionate individual. You will be directly involved in liaising with internal account managers, business clients, third party intermediaries, credit checking companies and credit insurers regarding energy supply, contracts, credit and risk management and supporting services. There will be a focus on critically assessing data and contracts, commercial risk management, providing knowledge and expertise to internal departments, ensuring key client accounts are closely managed and facilitating sustainable business growth.

The Role:

  • Completing credit checks, applying and converting credit insurance requests and periodic credit limit reviews
  • Continued review of commercial risk processes, policies and the credit quality of specific clients and the overall portfolio
  • Monitor the credit risk environment and macro-economic trends
  • Capturing, assessing and reporting on historical credit decisions to improve credit process in the future
  • Participate in meetings within the Executions and Solutions Desk and with customers directly, in order to resolve issues and identify solutions that enable credit facilities to be approved
  • Explore, implement and review credit decisions relating to renewals, extensions and payment term amendments
  • Various data entry, validation and administration tasks

 

The Individual:

  • Have strong understanding of credit risk management practices and framework
  • Have experience using a CRM system alongside multiple web-based platform;
  • Have experience working with large data sets
  • Have the ability to produce accurate reports within tight deadlines;
  • Have a strong technical background with excellent analytical skills and special attention to the detail;
  • Be able to prioritise and manage your own workload with minimal supervision
  • Be educated to degree level in a STEM subject.
