Job description
Responsibilities:
Developing, executing and monitoring the Company’s business strategies with regards to Wind and Solar projects to attain the strategic and financial targets of the Company, the Board and shareholders
Establishing budgets (on a Company as well as on a departmental level) and manage these accordingly for the Company as well as for individual projects
Seeking and originating new opportunities for Wind and Solar projects and providing strategic advice and decision memos to the Group on market developments
Actively managing risk and identifying and quantifying mitigation measures to ensure business continuity and growth of the Company
Preparing and implementing comprehensive business plans and overseeing the Company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures
Directing and supervising the recruitment of staff and being responsible for the effective staffing and team structuring to fulfil the Company’s contractual obligations
Building and maintaining relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities as well as representing the Group within the assigned market (e.g. on exhibitions, trade fairs, industry trade organizations, etc.)
Providing guidance and leadership for the team as required and planning, approving, and overseeing people development and training measures to grow the local team
Ensuring Company processes, policies and legal guidelines are implemented and communicated to all team members and followed at all times
Managing all necessary tasks in close cooperation with the other MD
Requirements:
Outstanding knowledge of the Polish Wind and PV markets with a deep understanding of project development and project management processes and of financial performance metrics
Thorough knowledge of general renewable energy market players, trends, challenges, and opportunities. Experience of storage and/or hydrogen projects would be a benefit
Demonstrable experience in developing & executing strategic and detailed financial business plans
Extensive experience in leadership and people management, being a natural coach and an inspiring example to improve the strengths and motivation of team members at all levels
Proactive and entrepreneurial attitude combined with strict compliance with the Company’s policies and guidelines
High flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, ability to respond to disruptive environments, seeing disruptive events as an opportunity rather than a threat to re-create the business
Strong project management and execution capabilities, results-oriented, ability to take initiative, be self-starting and make rational decisions, even when under pressure
Fluency in English and Polish is mandatory (both spoken and written)
Ideally has a university degree, in a technical, economic, or environmental discipline
