Seeing themselves as an enabler, to lead customers through the energy transition, they are seeking a Business Development Manager with previous experience in energy, sustainability or decarbonization advisory, entrepreneurial spirit, used to interacting with counterpart’s C-Suite and with previous international exposure.
The Business Development Manager will join their regional sales team as a subject matter expert who will promote Advisory Services’ solutions, while driving profitable revenue growth for the company measured in Total Contracted Revenues and Annual Recurring Revenues closed. Working most of their time out in the field, the Business Development Manager will enjoy autonomy, as well as the support of a bright, dedicated, and team-oriented sales team across Europe.
This role requires a confident and professional self-starter who is comfortable interfacing with senior level leadership, aggressive in finding and closing business, focused on meeting the customer’s needs, and able to work well within a team of sales managers in a rapidly growing business. Proven success prospecting and navigating complex sales and generating proposals to meet a customer’s unique energy management and decarbonization needs is critical.
The Business Development Manager will report to the Head of Sales who is based in England, UK. This role would work closely with the different delivery functions across Europe, creating value for our multi-national clients.
Primarily prospect for and recruit clients for a comprehensive energy management strategy addressing sustainability, affordability, resilience and incorporating Advisory Services’ Consulting, Reporting & Data Management, Transactional services;
Develop client market segmentation, targeting strategies, and sales planning as necessary and in conjunction with objectives of the sales team;
Analyse clients’ energy and facility data to understand a company's energy-related needs and propose solutions;
Collaborate with internal and externa stakeholders to develop other energy management strategies and promote solutions;
Negotiate and close contracts for services with qualified industrial and commercial prospects;
At least 5 years of outside sales experience
At least 3 years of B2B sales experience
Experience with closing sales of sustainability, net-zero consulting, energy management services in the commercial, institutional, and or industrial sectors.
An inherent hunter mentality and lead generation expertise as well as the ability to quickly identify and qualify sales opportunities to build and maintain a pipeline for new business
Ability to illustrate value of services to C-level decision makers, as well as interacting with facilities managers, purchasing, operations, accounting and engineers
A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
High proficiency in English and German
