The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to be partnered with an impressive clean tech innovator who are transforming smart energy technology to make our energy system flexible and more sustainable.

They are looking for a Business Development Manager to help drive their sales, and position them as a global leader within the marketplace.

You will be responsible for delivering on revenue & pipeline, as well as expanding into new territories. The role will involve developing the pipeline of DSOs & partners, closing commercial contracts & nurturing existing partners globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside CCO to generate revenue and building pipeline

  • Lead the sales agenda through stages of growth.

  • Increase inbound and outbound sales engine.

  • Hiring account managers or sales director to increase sales.

  • Attract consumers and stakeholders in the market- extensive knowledge and understanding of the market so the needs of stakeholders are met.

  • Managing and/or developing revenue, sales, other executive reports.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years professional experience in the renewable energy industry ideally with 2+ of those years focused on software sales (SaaS).

  • Highly organised, driven & an excellent communicator, who is able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience building and managing high performing sales teams underpinned by a culture of collaboration and team success.

  • Track record of developing, qualifying, and managing pipeline of multi-million-pound sales opportunities from identification to close.

  • Deep understanding of the electricity system and flexibility markets with pre-existing relationships across the energy sector.

  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and highly motivated with the ability to progress targets or objectives even amidst ambiguity.

  • Fluency in English, even if it’s not your first language.
