The Client

The Green Recruitment Company are working with a well-established energy advising, costing and procurement company who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their sales team. The role will report to the Head of Sales to deliver excellent service to their clients, building strong relationships with them while looking for opportunities to grow the client base. The successful candidate will be incredibly driven and invested in growing the business.



  • Develop strong client relationships with existing clients while developing your own opportunities for new business
  • Guide clients through benchmarking analysis and create bespoke energy reports
  • Assist in ensuring revenue targets through maximizing client profitability
  • Ensure internal CRM systems are kept up-to-date with accurate information and data
  • Work collaboratively with other areas of the business to carry out tender exercises to meet client requirements and expectations
  • Work closely with the senior management team to continually maximize business growth
  • Represent the company and help organize client meetings, networking events, and other events


The Individual:

  • Strong understanding of the sales process from beginning to end of cycle
  • Strong demonstrated background in business development
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, clients and external partners both verbally and written
  • Passion for delivery a fantastic service, meeting targets and producing results
  • Fast thinking and able to resolve problems quickly and effectively
  • Keep up to date with energy market trends to maximize the success of the business
