Job description

​Title: Business Development Director

Location: Romania (Remote)

TGRC is currently looking for a highly motivated Business Development Director to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to promote and sell solar PV modules in Romania, Hungary, and neighbouring countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and potential customers to understand their needs and promote our products and services effectively.

  • Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation, contract closure, and post-sales support.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments related to renewable energy and solar PV technology.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including engineering, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to the European Sales VP to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, and account management within the renewable energy industry, with a focus on solar PV modules.

  • Strong understanding of solar energy market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment in Europe, particularly in Romania and Hungary.

  • Experience in managing complex sales cycles and driving large-scale projects from conception to completion.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Fluency in English and Romanian is required. Proficiency in Hungarian or other European languages is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel frequently within Europe as needed.
