Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company are working alongside a multi-national business which provides integrated services to partners all over the world in order to enhance value across their entire supply chain. This is achieved by applying expert knowledge, experience and core skills in market development, finance, logistics, investment and information to solve specific business problems across a broad range of commodities and services. This client has expansive activity in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

 

The Role:

  • Reporting to the GM, London Branch, for achieving the target of the respective book (Clean Petroleum Products & Business Development Book) business plan related to Biofuel products and feedstock through, including but not limited to:

  • Strategising a sustainable business flow and profit model

  • Develop a wide counterparty network in the European market

  • Propose and execute trades of the respective commodities (both physical and paper swap) in line with the company strategy

  • Carry out the above tasks with sound risk management (physical delivery, certification, price and counterparty credit)

  • Keep the global team up to date with regards to key regulatory changes and any other relevant information related to biofuels market

  • Acts as a resource to other Team Leaders/Traders in the area of the person’s expertise (ad hoc basis)

 

The Individual:

  • Minimum 5 years biofuels experience in a trading and/or a marketing role

  • Deep knowledge of the various biofuels market including, but not limited to, Biodiesel, FAME, UCOME, SAF and HVO especially in NWE market including the sustainability and regulations of the respective countries.

  • Experience in sourcing feedstock in European market (e.g., UCO, tallow, vegetable oil etc) preferred

  • Good counterparty network in the European biofuels market.

  • Ability to adjust to a dynamic environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with international team members

  • Numeracy and the ability to develop an analytical approach to solving problems
