Job title: Bid Manager - Smart Grids

Location: Greater London, England, United Kingdom (On-site)

TGRC is looking for a Bid Manager - Smart Grids to work with a UK-leading Next-Generation Grid-Connection and SmartGrid solution provider.

The Business comprises of a high pedigree of renewable energy professionals, however, in keeping with their ambitions seek an experienced and detail-oriented Bid Manager to drive organisation & order in their projects.

Job Summary:

As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing bids from start to finish; ensuring that all submissions meet deadlines whilst adhering to specific requirements set out by each client. You'll also work closely alongside internal teams such as sales and operations departments - liaising effectively throughout the project's lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead tender kick-off meetings

  • Develop/ create technical energy & construction bids

  • Manage bid responses efficiently using project management software (e.g., MS Project)

  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders across different sectors

  • Develop innovative solutions tailored towards unique customer needs

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Business Administration/Marketing/Sales would be advantageous but not required if compensated through experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience handling complex tenders/bids is essential.

  • Excellent written communication skills are needed including proposal writing abilities which demonstrate creativity and innovation when designing proposals targeting customers’ pain points accurately,

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – specifically Word Excel PowerPoint etc.,

  • Ability to work under pressure while delivering results promptly
