Job description
I'm working with a Utility Scale BESS IPP that is on the search for an experienced Project Manager to take their projects from Pre-construction through to completion.
Responsibilities:
Planning:
Oversees the project's design by coordinating both internal and external engineering resources.
Manages project scheduling, including hosting initial site kick-off and project closure meetings.
Ensures daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Plan of the Day from EPC.
Monitors EPC progress, offering support for schedule recovery if necessary.
Handles design Request for Information (RFI) coordination.
Actively engages with landowners to meet their expectations.
Safety Responsibilities:
Sets a safety precedent by exemplifying safe practices and ensuring adherence among all team members.
Continuously reinforces safe behaviors and addresses any risky actions.
Ensures JHAs are conducted before work begins.
Upholds and ensures understanding of standard operating procedures.
Facilitates job-specific training for new hires.
Provides technical, quality, and safety support to the site team.
EPC Relationship Management:
Ensures project management aligns with our standards.
Focuses on enhancing and sustaining relationships with EPC partners.
Budget and Contract Management:
Manages project budget, cost tracking, procurement, and materials.
Ensures EPC compliance with contract terms and reviews change orders.
Facilitates field purchases and oversees contractual obligations.
Communicates main contract terms to subcontractors.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
PMP Certification preferred.
OSHA 30 certification is required.
5-10 years of experience in Project Management
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
Desire to grow professionally and take on additional responsibilities within the company.
Preferred Skills:
Strong knowledge of safety, leadership, team building, and decision-making.
Experience in contract compliance, project permits, and quality assurance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and scheduling software.
Ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and materials effectively.
Physical Requirements:
Work includes both field and office tasks, with occasional travel.
May require lifting up to 10 pounds and prolonged computer use.
Construction site visits may involve early or late hours and remote locations.
