Asset Manager

Location: Netherlands

 

A leading renewable energy company is currently seeking to grow their team through the addition of an experienced, motivated, solution focused Windfarm Asset Manager with a good track record to manage the on-going operations of the company’s portfolio of wind farms in Netherlands. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the portfolio is operated in accordance with their Operational Standard, remains compliant with all statutory and local requirements to best possible practice and that performance is optimal.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quarterly inspections of the sites as required
  • Perform general windfarm asset management duties as required
  • Carry out safety inductions, manage contractors, provide toolbox talks and manage on site risks
  • Conduct HSE plan review and compliance check on a regular basis.
  • Ensure adequate store of spare parts for site infrastructure is always available
  • Manage competitive pricing processes for required work
  • Exercise technical and commercial management of subcontractors
  • Track malfunctions and any relevant issues
  • Implement solutions to technical problems on each site
  • Complete monthly reports
  • Liaise and manage relationship with local stakeholders, landowners, residents, and authorities
  • Manage and follow-up of claims in connection with the insurer
  • Optimise production and asset enhancement
  • Ensure periodic meetings with contractors
  • Submit and manage availability warranty claims with the turbine provider
  • Manage the grid connections
  • Represent the company and the wind farms with residents, administration and third parties
  • Report issues to resolve as appropriate
  • Take a leadership role when required on issues and ensure they are driven to completion

 

The person:

  • An engineering degree or relevant qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in windfarm grid operations/management
  • Excellent team player, goal-orientated, dynamic with the skill to motivate others successfully
  • Strong stakeholder relationship building skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A quick learner: when faced with new situations/problems
  • A technical working knowledge of Siemens and Enercon turbines and the key issues in their operation and maintenance
  • A natural problem solver who tenaciously seeks to find a solution to operational issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate: MS Office. SCADA knowledge an advantage
  • Possess a full, clean driver’s licence (category B)
  • Speak and write fluent Dutch & English
