Job title: Asset Manager

Location: Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain (Hybrid)

A pan-European Renewables IPP is seeking an Asset Manager in Madrid to be accountable for the delivery of commercial asset operations for the Iberian portfolio.

The role covers both technical and commercial management, aiming to maximise returns for assets to increase ROI and minimize risk and loss throughout the project lifecycle

The Role:

  • Be able to review and comment on plant layouts, design and yield calculations.

  • Follow up the daily performance of the assets – KPI monitoring and asset optimization of solar assets.

  • Review maintenance plans and completion of works to ensure compliance, to the extent required to implement improvements.

  • Oversight of response to non-routine operational issues occurring at sites (material equipment failure etc) to maximize production across the portfolio.

  • Incident management and resolution including closing out all logged incidents (including preventative maintenance).

  • Assist during the final stage of construction, permitting process, commissioning, Warranty process and operation phase.

  • Oversight contract management – ensuring that all services required by the O&M or EPC contracts are actioned accordingly.

  • Manage revenue/EBITDA/EBIT/Total shareholder results of the assigned portfolio.

  • Liaise with the operations team members (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Engineering and Construction) and key external stakeholders.

  • Support the execution of PPA during their operational phase.

The Individual:

  • Experience in the Spanish renewables (e.g. storage, solar and wind) and electricity market.

  • Experience with conducting risk analyses, preparing financial KPIs reports, and developing strategies to maximize asset growth.

  • Successful track record of negotiating/communicating/managing external parties such as insurance companies, technical advisors, national, regional or local stakeholders (landowners, regulators, municipalities, etc).

  • Strong language skills in spoken and written English
