​We are working with a client who is seeking someone to join their hydrogen team in Sydney as a valued member, reporting to the Hydrogen team manager. In this role, you'll contribute to research and advisory teams, focusing on hydrogen research, analysis, project advising, and service enhancement. Recent graduates or those with less than two years' experience in the energy sector are encouraged to apply.

Your main responsibility will be APAC Hydrogen markets, specifically Australia and Japan, where the increasing interest in low-carbon hydrogen presents opportunities for decarbonization in industry, transportation, and heating. Hydrogen can also help balance renewable generation as Asia Pacific power systems transition to decarbonization.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on APAC and global hydrogen market trends, technology, and policy

• Collect and analyze market data to create data-driven insights for clients.

• Analyze the entire hydrogen value chain, encompassing production, transport, storage, and consumption.

• Contribute to the maintenance of the client's global hydrogen electrolyser database.

• Prepare analytical reports and presentations for clients and external events, effectively communicating findings.

• Perform customized hydrogen analysis for consultancy projects.

• Identify new opportunities and expand capabilities to contribute to the client's product development.

Required Attributes:

• Relevant university degree in a quantitative field

• Strong quantitative background and/or demonstrated interest in hydrogen, energy technology, or energy markets.

• Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data and information.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Fast learner with proficiency in Excel or an interest in common programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB)

Desirable Attributes:

• Previous demonstrated interest in hydrogen markets, whether through university or professional involvement

• Proficiency in advanced data analytics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, Advanced Excel, GAMS)

• Proficiency in languages other than English
