Job description

​We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded Senior Commercial Manager to drive our market entry and growth efforts in Germany. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution and is eager to take ownership in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

You will lead business development initiatives, cultivate key customer relationships, oversee commercial negotiations (including Power Purchase Agreements), and play a critical role in building a high-performing local team.

The Role:

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the German market, aligned with overall group objectives

  • Identify high-potential opportunities through market research and customer segmentation

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure project development aligns with commercial goals

  • Manage and prioritize sales leads while identifying new business prospects across target industries

  • Engage with senior decision-makers from initial contact through to contract closure

  • Tailor proposals, articulate the value proposition, and lead negotiations through to final agreements

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the entire sales and implementation cycle

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across development, legal, finance, and technical areas

  • Coordinate with external parties including advisors, grid operators, and regulatory bodies

  • Take a leadership role in building and mentoring a strong commercial team in Germany

The Person:
  • Solid track record in business development or sales within the renewable energy or power sector

  • Strong understanding of German energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and revenue models (especially PPAs)

  • Ability to interpret commercial, technical, and regulatory data to support strategic decisions

  • Fluent in both German and English, with excellent communication skills

  • Skilled in stakeholder management and building long-term relationships

  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
