Job description

Are you a seasoned Project Manager passionate about renewable energy? Do you thrive in fast-paced, development-driven environments? Join an international team of wind energy experts and help shape Germany’s energy future.

About Us

My client are an internationally recognized renewable energy company with deep roots in the German market. As specialists in large-scale wind energy projects, they combine local expertise with global experience to drive the energy transition forward.

The Role

They are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the permitting and approval processes for major onshore wind developments. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle — from early-stage development through to approval — with a particular focus on projects located in Western and North-Eastern Germany.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of wind project development, including site selection, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory approvals

  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and risk assessments

  • Liaise with local authorities, consultants, landowners, and internal teams

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant German and EU environmental and planning regulations

  • Provide clear reporting and documentation to senior management and investors

  • Collaborate closely with technical, legal, and commercial teams across the organization

  • Conduct occasional site visits and meetings at our Berlin office

Requirements
  • Proven experience managing renewable energy development projects, ideally in wind

  • Strong understanding of German permitting and approval processes (BImSchG, etc.)

  • Fluency in German (C1 level or higher) and good working knowledge of English

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with strong team collaboration

  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany, including to Berlin office

What We Offer
  • A dynamic and supportive team in a mission-driven, international company

  • Flexible, remote work setup tailored to your location in West or North-East Germany

  • Meaningful projects that make a real difference in the energy landscape

  • Competitive salary and benefits
