Introduction

TGRC is proud to be working with a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing as they expand their U.S. operations. We are seeking a highly capable Off Shift Manager to oversee critical manufacturing activities during non-standard operating hours at their new facility in South Carolina.

This is a key leadership opportunity for professionals with a background in technical manufacturing, offering the chance to join a company at the forefront of clean technology supply chains, supporting growth in renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and digital infrastructure.

The Role

The Off Shift Manager will provide direct oversight of all production, quality, and safety operations during evening, overnight, or weekend shifts. The role is essential to ensuring continuous manufacturing output, equipment uptime, and compliance with both safety and quality standards during off-hours.

This position is well suited to candidates who are hands-on, solutions-oriented, and able to lead cross-functional teams within a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership

  • Lead all operations during assigned off-shift hours (evenings, nights, or weekends), ensuring uninterrupted production.

  • Act as the highest on-site authority, making real-time decisions and escalating major issues to senior leadership as needed.

  • Provide shift handovers with clarity and precision to ensure operational continuity across teams.

Operational Management

  • Monitor and adjust production activities to meet shift targets related to output, yield, and equipment efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues in real time, working closely with maintenance and engineering support teams.

  • Manage shift schedules, labor allocation, and task prioritization across departments.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and protocols during off-shift hours.

  • Serve as the lead responder for any on-site incidents or emergencies.

  • Maintain cleanroom protocols, contamination control, and equipment compliance in line with semiconductor manufacturing standards.

Quality Control & Reporting

  • Collaborate with Quality teams to ensure that production meets technical specifications and quality benchmarks.

  • Complete detailed shift reports and data logs, identifying issues and recommending improvement actions.

  • Support audits, inspections, and process validations as required.

Team Management

  • Supervise and support production technicians, operators, and maintenance personnel.

  • Lead shift meetings, provide coaching, and ensure staff engagement and morale during off-hours.

  • Identify training needs and contribute to workforce development initiatives.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a proactive and dependable manufacturing professional with strong leadership skills and technical manufacturing experience.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in semiconductors, electronics, or cleanroom operations.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, equipment troubleshooting, and quality assurance procedures.

  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions during off-shift hours.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a safety-conscious, high-compliance environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working in a cleanroom or high-precision production setting.

  • Familiarity with ISO and EHS standards.

  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and operational KPIs.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognized clean technology manufacturer during a major U.S. expansion. You will play a critical role in enabling round-the-clock operations and building a high-performance team in a future-focused industry.
