Job description

Position Summary: The HSE Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety and sustainability at our client's data center site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance, and implement corrective actions.

  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.

  • Coordinate and conduct HSE training programs for employees and contractors to promote awareness and compliance.

  • Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management.

  • Collaborate with site management and operational teams to integrate HSE practices into daily operations.

  • Ensure proper management and disposal of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with environmental regulations.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and implement improvements as necessary.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement in HSE initiatives.

  • Respond to HSE emergencies and provide guidance and support to ensure effective resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in a data center or similar HV environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective HSE programs and initiatives.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, CHST) is highly desirable.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
