Job description
Position Summary: The HSE Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety and sustainability at our client's data center site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance, and implement corrective actions.
Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
Coordinate and conduct HSE training programs for employees and contractors to promote awareness and compliance.
Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management.
Collaborate with site management and operational teams to integrate HSE practices into daily operations.
Ensure proper management and disposal of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and implement improvements as necessary.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement in HSE initiatives.
Respond to HSE emergencies and provide guidance and support to ensure effective resolution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in a data center or similar HV environment.
In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
Proven ability to develop and implement effective HSE programs and initiatives.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, CHST) is highly desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
