​Job Title: Head of Development

Location: Australia

Our client, a leading renewable energy IPP based in the US, is seeking a Head of Development to lead their development efforts in Australia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy project development, excellent leadership skills, and experience in the Australian energy market.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the company's project development efforts in Australia

• Identify new project opportunities and evaluate feasibility

• Manage the development process from site identification to construction and operation

• Develop and implement project development strategies to support business growth

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project development efforts with overall business strategy

• Manage relationships with stakeholders, including landowners, regulators, and suppliers

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

• Strong technical knowledge of renewable energy technologies and project development

• Excellent leadership and management skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Familiarity with the Australian energy market and regulatory environment

• Fluency in English
