Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company is searching a Financial Analyst - Financial Director for a leading national developer of utility-scale solar and storage power plants.

As a Financial Analyst focused on Latam, you will play a pivotal role in our investment and project finance activities, with potential regional responsibilities in Mexico in the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling: Build sophisticated financial models for photovoltaic energy projects to support decision-making.

  • Investment Decision-Making: Evaluate and decide on investment opportunities that align with company strategy.

  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with debt and equity players to facilitate financing.

  • Investor/Buyer Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with investors and buyers, understanding their KPIs and IRRs for our assets (value before and after construction).

  • Partnership Origination: Identify and originate synergies and partnerships to enhance project value.

  • Opportunity Analysis: Analyze investment opportunities against company-defined criteria to identify viable projects.

  • Bid Preparation: Support the preparation of offers/bids and term sheets, including project financing and sale and purchase agreements (SPA).

  • Market Assessment: Analyze electricity market trends and assess their impact on expected profitability at both project and portfolio levels.

  • Offtake Structures: Analyze energy offtake structures and provide recommendations on the most suitable options for specific projects.

  • Transaction Experience: Contribute to transactions with financial closure or M&A in the solar sector.

Your Profile:

  • Education: Degree in economics, finance, mathematics, industrial engineering, or a related field. An MBA or Master's degree is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in finance, with at least 3 years of experience in renewables, including a track record in solar M&A or financing transactions.

Skills:

  • Strong cash flow modeling capabilities.

  • Knowledge of electricity markets, regulations, and financing infrastructure is advantageous.

  • Proficient in MS Office Excel; macro-programming skills (Visual Basic) are a plus.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical abilities, structural thinking, and a willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish.

Work Environment: This position is 100% remote.
