Job description

Company Overview:

  • A leading independent power producer under a publicly traded renewable energy company.

  • Drives a rapid and sustainable energy transition with a focus on high-quality renewable energy projects and agrivoltaics.

  • Currently constructing 345 megawatts and actively developing a portfolio exceeding 15,000 megawatts of solar PV and 7,000 megawatts of energy storage.

Job Summary:

  • Ongoing client communication and relationship management with large landowners.

  • Focus on acquiring land for utility-scale solar development.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with U.S. corporate landowners.

  2. Negotiate and acquire corporate lands for solar sites.

  3. Communicate project progress to clients, engaging internal teams for analysis.

  4. Collaborate with GIS and Transmission teams for site assessments.

  5. Assist/manage 3rd party relationships (attorneys, foresters, consultants).

  6. Attend industry conferences to enhance corporate relationships.

  7. Respond to large landowner solar RFPs, submitting strong proposals.

  8. Learn UG systems and maintain up-to-date reporting.

  9. Travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements:

  • Flexible professional with expertise in forestry, renewable development, and U.S. power markets.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred).

  • 5+ years in forestry, with 2+ years in utility-scale site acquisition.

  • Experience in utility-scale solar and knowledge of land ownership principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft platforms and CRM/tracking software.

  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
