Job description

Great Opportunity for an experienced individual to join an established US developer/EPC who are looking to build out their European IPP platform. The role will focus on solar, wind & storage development activities in various markets; leading a team of local Development Directors.

 

The Opportunity:

  • Managing and coordinating a team of Development Directors across European markets
  • Delivering project pipeline, identifying Project and Partnership opportunities and grow pipeline
  • Preparation of reports, reviews, and analysis of potential project opportunities
  • Prospecting large sites for PV and wind projects
  • Managing development process
  • Conduct due diligence on potential solar and wind sites, evaluate the suitability of identified sites and participate in due diligence review, analysis of various reports (i.e. environmental, geo-tech, etc.)
  • Research grid status and availability and liaise with DNOs
  • Engage with DNOs, National Grid and ICPs in establishing most viable solutions for connections
  • Negotiating sub-contractor roles responsibilities and contracts
  • Negotiating key development contracts
  • Identifying, negotiating and managing co-development agreements
  • Analysing and reviewing commercial viability based on projects’ technical design and costing
  • Developing an in-depth knowledge of local market legislation, regulations, support schemes.
  • Internal pipeline management and reporting
  • Financial analysis of opportunities
  • Delivering developed RTB projects to defined budget and schedule
  • Identifying and closing project acquisitions
  • Managing costs and cashflow within the development budget

 

The Individual:

  • Several years of experience in project development of renewable energy projects though the whole project development cycle
  • Successful track record of projects and a good network within the European Wind+Solar industry
  • Experience with licencing and permitting procedures
  • Willingness to travel frequently
