Operating in offices across the globe, the rapidly growing team of energy, commercial, & consulting experts support leading clients across the entire energy value chain (including investors, governments, & utilities) in their journey to carbon neutrality.

As part of their ongoing and continuous growth, our client is currently searching for a Commercial Associate, who will play a critical role developing and creating sales opportunities within the UK/European market – where you will have the opportunity to become an expert on their entire product portfolio.

This Individual will be joining the Oxford-based team and will join the existing commercial sales team, which offers excellent progression opportunities in a modern, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Qualifying, developing, & preserving sales opportunities

  • Showing excellent product knowledge, and how customer needs can be best solved

  • Developing new leads and growing existing relationships to improve repeat purchases

  • Ensuring that upselling and cross-selling is considered in sales approach

  • Being a brand ambassador and product champion

  • Pitching and presenting to customers and key stakeholders

  • Negotiating and drawing up structured offers

  • Using Salesforce CRM

  • Contributing to new product development when required

  • Creating sales and marketing material when required

  • Liaising with software development team by providing customer feedback to improve products

Job Requirements:

  • Strong commercial & sales mindset

  • Interest and enthusiasm towards energy transition and sustainability

  • Experience using a sales CRM, ideally Salesforce

  • Target driven, on an individual and team basis

  • Willingness to go the extra mile and a passion to learn and develop

  • Great organisational skills

  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment

  • Proven record of succeeding in a team environment

Desirables:

  • Business development, Sales, or client services experience

  • Experience surrounding energy subscription or other power-related markets

  • Fluency in other European languages
