The Opportunity

A rare opportunity to join an international renewable energy company (IPP) who develop and build and develop both wind and solar projects. The client are looking for an Asset Manager to join their team in Bristol. 

The Role

Key accountabilities:
  • Responsible for the management of a portfolio of solar assets initially, but with a need to cross over into wind and hydro assets.
  • Site H&S management
  • Contract administration (claims, warranty, renewals)
  • Stakeholder management
  • Managing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events
  • Performance monitoring and Monthly reporting (management and board level)
  • Site visits and inspections
  • Manage the investigation, diagnosis and resolution of operational issues
  • Support the development of analytical tools

The Person 

Competencies/ Skill set:
 
  • Self-motivated and committed to achieving results
  •  Able to maintain a high volume of work, prioritises workload, and remains professional under pressure
  •  PV or Electrical background (preferable)
  •  Confident, clear and accurate with all communication
  •  Maintains accurate records and makes effective use of new technology
  •  Works well in a collaborative team environment. Shares knowledge, skills and experience with colleagues and oversees others' work in their activities
  • Displays good investigative skills and the ability to understand the implications of findings for the Portfolio Manager and investor
  •  Flexible in their approach to work, adapting to changing demands and conditions. Presents a positive image and approach to change, striving for continual improvements
Qualifications / Experience requiered: 
  • Degree or equivalent in relevant technical subject
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of administering operation & maintenance contracts
  • Strong understanding of UK H&S regulations and guidelines
  • Ideally 2+yrs of operation monitoring and asset management, renewable experience preferred
