Project Manager - Onshore Wind

Job description

​A leading global wind energy company is looking to strengthen its project management team with an experienced Project Manager.

This is a senior project delivery position with overall responsibility for the successful execution of wind farm projects, from planning through to final customer handover.

The Role

You will take ownership of project delivery across schedule, cost, quality, HSE and contractual performance, while coordinating internal project teams and external contractors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for the timely, high-quality and cost-effective delivery of wind farm projects

  • Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, including commercial, construction, electrical and logistics functions

  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout project planning and execution

  • Monitoring project schedules, budgets, risks and overall project performance

  • Ensuring compliance with HSE, technical, regulatory and quality standards

  • Managing contracts, claims and project optimisation measures

  • Preparing project status reports, financial updates, risk assessments and management presentations

  • Capturing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement across project delivery

  • Supporting sales and tendering activities with project execution expertise

Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical discipline

  • Previous project management experience within plant engineering, wind energy or the wider energy sector

  • Strong understanding of project delivery, ideally across complex multidisciplinary projects

  • Experience with budgets, contracts, claims and stakeholder management

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach

  • Very good English language skills

  • Willingness to travel internationally and undertake business travel

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
