​Onshore Wind Site Manager – South Korea

Onshore Wind | Site Delivery | Contract

TGRC is seeking an experienced Onshore Wind Site Manager to support upcoming onshore wind project activity in South Korea.

This is a contract opportunity suited to a proven site leader with experience managing wind farm construction, turbine installation, commissioning, balance of plant activity or major renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site execution, coordinating contractors and ensuring that works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.

The Role

As Onshore Wind Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities across an onshore wind project. You will coordinate installation, civil, electrical, commissioning, HSE, QA/QC and subcontractor teams, ensuring that works progress safely and according to programme.

You will act as a key point of contact on site, supporting the interface between the project team, client representatives, OEM teams, subcontractors and local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Site Management

Manage day-to-day site activities across onshore wind construction, installation or commissioning phases.

Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, technicians and specialist service providers.

Monitor project progress against schedule, budget, quality and safety requirements.

Lead site meetings, daily briefings, coordination calls and progress reviews.

Identify risks, delays, resource gaps or technical blockers and escalate where required.

Project Delivery

Support the safe and efficient delivery of turbine installation, balance of plant, electrical, grid connection and commissioning works.

Ensure site teams are working to approved drawings, method statements, risk assessments and project procedures.

Coordinate handovers between civil, electrical, installation, commissioning and operations teams.

Support logistics planning, site access, equipment coordination and work-front readiness.

Ensure project documentation, progress reporting and site records are completed accurately and on time.

Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination

Act as the primary site interface for contractors, OEM teams, client representatives and project management.

Manage subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual and project obligations.

Support communication between international project teams and local site stakeholders.

Help resolve site-level commercial, technical, logistical and operational issues.

Maintain a professional and solutions-focused approach across all site interactions.

Health, Safety & Quality

Lead by example in promoting a strong safety-first culture on site.

Ensure compliance with all HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, risk assessments and emergency response plans.

Work closely with HSE and QA/QC teams to monitor site standards and close out issues.

Support incident prevention, investigations, inspections and continuous improvement activities.

Ensure works are delivered to the required quality standard before handover.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Site Manager, Construction Manager, Installation Manager or Senior Supervisor on wind, renewable energy or major infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of onshore wind project delivery, including civil works, electrical works, turbine installation, commissioning or site handover.

Experience managing contractors, subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams.

Strong knowledge of HSE, quality, programme management and site reporting requirements.

Ability to coordinate complex site activities in a fast-moving project environment.

Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Comfortable working on a contract basis in South Korea.

Korean language skills would be advantageous; English language skills are highly desirable for international project coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

GWO Basic Safety Training.

Construction, engineering, electrical, mechanical or renewable energy qualification.

Project management or site management certification would be advantageous.

First Aid, Working at Height and relevant HSE training.

Previous experience working with major wind turbine OEMs, EPC contractors or IPP/developer project teams.

Competitive contract rate depending on experience, availability and project requirements.
