​We are recruiting an HSE Manager for contract roles on utility-scale solar PV projects across the UK. You will take overall ownership of health, safety and environmental performance on site, setting standards, leading the HSE team and ensuring compliance across a large subcontractor base on high-volume solar construction programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead the site HSE strategy, plan and management system

• Manage HSE advisors and coordinators on site

• Drive compliance with CDM 2015, client requirements and environmental permits

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and lessons learned

• Own the audit and inspection programme, and report HSE performance to the project team and client

• Engage subcontractors on safety culture, behaviours and standards

Experience & Qualifications

• HSE management experience on solar, renewables or major construction projects

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent; CMIOSH or working towards

• Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 and UK HSE legislation

• Environmental management experience (IEMA advantageous)

• Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement capability
