The Opportunity

TGRC is supporting a major renewable energy developer with anticipated contract requirements across a large onshore wind construction portfolio in Finland.

We are looking to speak with experienced Grid Managers with a strong background in wind farm electrical infrastructure, grid connection, eBoP, substation, transformer and overhead line interfaces.

This is a key technical and coordination role, suited to someone who can lead the electrical scope from design phase through to construction, commissioning and energisation.

The Role

The Grid Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the wind power plant’s electrical and IT grid infrastructure is ready for energisation in line with the main project schedule.

The role will involve coordinating multiple electrical work packages, including eBoP, substation, OHL, transformer and WTG interfaces. The Grid Manager will also support grid code compliance activities and coordinate communication between contractors, consultants, the grid operator, the turbine supplier and the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the wind farm electrical scope from design through to energisation.

  • Coordinate design works between eBoP, substation, OHL, transformer and turbine contractors.

  • Review eBoP, substation, transformer, OHL and relevant civil interface documentation.

  • Support and lead grid code compliance activities.

  • Coordinate communication between contractors, consultants, Fingrid, turbine supplier and project stakeholders.

  • Monitor contractor progress, quality and performance against contractual requirements.

  • Ensure electrical design and construction works are delivered in accordance with project specifications.

  • Support coordination between civil, electrical, substation, OHL and turbine scopes.

  • Manage technical interfaces and support design approvals.

  • Organise and lead technical reviews, meetings and inspections as required.

  • Monitor QA/QC activity across eBoP, substation, transformer, OHL and turbine electrical interfaces.

  • Identify electrical and grid-related risks, support mitigation planning and ensure regular follow-up.

  • Support the Construction Project Manager, Site Manager and OHL Manager with delivery of key milestones.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in electrical engineering or a related discipline.

  • Strong experience in grid, substation or eBoP management within onshore wind or comparable renewable energy infrastructure.

  • Good understanding of grid connection, grid code compliance, MV systems, substations, transformers and OHL interfaces.

  • Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, grid operators and project stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of electrical design review and construction-phase technical management.

  • Good knowledge of QA/QC, HSE and contractor performance management.

  • Strong planning, reporting, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and SharePoint.

  • Fluency in Finnish and English.
