Chief R&D

Job description

We are seeking an experienced technical leader to take full ownership of the R&D, technical iteration, prototype verification and industrialization of Solid State Transformer (SST) products. This role is responsible for defining the overall technical roadmap, tackling high-frequency and high-voltage core technical challenges, and building our company’s core SST technology system for new energy grid, energy storage, data center and microgrid applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall system design, topology architecture selection, control algorithm development, and hardware solution design for high-power & high-voltage SST products.

  • Carry out full-cycle R&D work including scheme demonstration, simulation modeling, prototype development, system testing, reliability verification and product iteration.

  • Solve core technical problems in SST development, including efficiency optimization, high-voltage insulation design, thermal management, EMC suppression, voltage stabilization and harmonic reduction.

  • Complete selection and customized development of SiC/GaN power devices, high-frequency magnetic components and high-voltage power circuits.

  • Manage R&D project milestones, conduct technical reviews, control project quality and risks, and promote mass production transformation.

  • Responsible for technology accumulation, patent layout, internal standard formulation and technical pre-research of new-generation SST technologies.

  • Provide technical support for business cooperation, customer solution output and industry-university-research collaboration.

Job Requirements
  • Master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics and Electrical Drives, High Voltage Engineering or related majors.

  • 5+ years of R&D experience in high-power power electronic equipment with practical SST development experience; candidates with cascaded/isolated SST whole-machine development experience are preferred.

  • Proficient in SST topology principles, closed-loop control, PWM modulation, active power filtering and high-voltage isolation conversion technologies.

  • Skilled in MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM and other simulation tools; familiar with high-voltage PCB layout, high-frequency magnetic design, thermal design and EMC rectification.

  • Familiar with the application of SiC/GaN wide-bandgap power devices; rich experience in high-power converter development is a strong plus.

  • Independent problem-solving ability for complex technical issues, with team management and project delivery capabilities from prototype to mass production.
