A leading renewable energy company has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Turbine Engineer to join a dynamic team to contribute to the mission of enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future. You will be drawing on your experience to provide high engineering standards to enable our site to continue to deliver power to the National Grid.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver critical work that enables reliable power to the UK
• Responsible for being the Subject Matter Expert for all things relating to the steam turbine plant and accountable for its performance
• Working closely with maintenance teams to preserve the plant and minimise costs
• Ensuring delivery of the Engineering asset / maintenance strategy that supports the long term commercial and operation of the plant area
• Ensuring that the plant remains compliant against legislative, statutory, corporate and site policy and procedures
• Responsible for delivery of major plant overhauls/outages
• Take the lead in delivering some key plant improvement projects, from inception to delivery
• Managing your own OPEX and CAPEX budgets

The person:

• Relevant engineering qualifications
• Relevant experience in a heavy or process-based industry looking after turbines, rotating plant or pressure systems
• Ideally chartered or working towards chartership status
• Experiences managing your own OPEX and CAPEX budgets
• Track record of successfully delivering engineering projects
• Experience in maintaining and acting as technical authority for an asset.
• Team player with strong leadership and communication skills as well as experience of finding solutions

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the above and they will be passionate about continuing to work within the renewable power generation space.
