Job description
We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to manage project plans for various solar, wind, and combined heat and power initiatives. This role involves overseeing the execution of engineering and construction requests for proposals and ensuring the successful construction and implementation of multiple commercial projects. The engineer will also develop program standards and oversee major operations and maintenance outages.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise construction efforts with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams, landlords, and tenants to ensure projects (ranging from 2 MW to 150 MW and valued up to $150 million) are completed on time and within budget. May manage 1-4 projects, providing oversight to project management personnel on-site.
Lead negotiations and documentation for EPC agreements across all clean energy platforms.
Guide a team of technical and project management professionals in constructing various clean energy platforms.
Oversee procurement processes, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
Review and approve electrical and construction engineering plans.
Manage the implementation of major O&M outages for various clean energy projects.
Develop and approve commissioning test plans and oversee the commissioning testing program, construction permitting, and interconnection processes.
Address all landowner issues related to project sites.
Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior management.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, or civil preferred).
7-10 years of experience leading engineering and construction teams.
Proven experience in solar and energy project implementations.
Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional certification is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.
Willingness to travel 25-35% of the time.
