Join a globally integrated renewables developer that specialises in the development, financing, EPC, O&M as well as asset management of solar power plants. With European origins my client has a portfolio that surpasses 1GWp worldwide and conducts business with over 50 countries globally. With a focus on project development your role will be responsible for taking hold of a portfolio of projects post origination of land and ensuring that projects progress to pre-construction aligned with schedule, cost, permits & approvals etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall delivery of solar farm projects through to investment case stage
  • Engagement with the relevant authorities to progress environmental and planning approvals
  • Provision of accurate and timely assessment of development issues, risks and opportunities
  • Manage development issues as they emerge within projects with the appropriate stakeholders
  • Maintain trusting and productive project landholder relationships from initiation through to construction handover
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders including local, state and federal government staff and local community representatives

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in either town and regional planning, environmental planning, commerce, business management, science or engineering
  • 4+ years experience in the development of renewables projects (utility solar desired - can come from land or environment etc background)
  • Understanding of the grid connection process as it relates to Australian renewable energy developments
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate successful project development outcomes with key government and non-government stakeholders
  • Available to travel regularly to regional and interstate locations as required
  • Valid Australian driver’s license
